Aero Mock-Ups Helps Saturday Night Live Take Flight with “Delta Disruptive”

Aviation Set Pieces Take Off on SNL

Saturday Night Live took to the skies for its recent “Delta Disruptive” sketch, and Aero Mock-Ups was happy to help bring a piece of the airplane environment to life.

The sketch, featuring Inde Navarrette from the blockbuster hit Obsession, takes place aboard a commercial flight—but this time, the airplane cabin itself wasn't one of ours.

Instead, the production turned to Aero Mock-Ups for one of the less glamorous—but incredibly useful—parts of an airplane: the service area and entry door.

It's All in the Details

Aero Mock-Ups' aircraft service area set includes a practical airplane entry door and surrounding interior, giving productions the ability to create the recognizable entrance and service area of a commercial aircraft.

It's a great example of how productions don't always need an entire airplane set.

Sometimes a scene only calls for a door, galley, service area or other specific section of an aircraft, and those individual pieces can be incorporated into a production's own airplane environment.

For “Delta Disruptive,” our service area helped complete the aircraft set created for the sketch.

Aviation Sets & Set Pieces for Television Production

From a complete passenger cabin to a single aircraft door, Aero Mock-Ups provides specialized aviation sets, props and set pieces for film, television, commercials and other productions.

Our inventory includes airplane cabin sets, cockpits, private jets, aircraft doors, galleys, service areas, passenger seating, airport environments and aviation set dressing.

Sometimes we provide the whole airplane.

Sometimes we just provide the piece that makes it complete.

We're always happy to help a production take flight.
