One Airplane Set. Multiple Configurations.

Your script determines the airplane—not the other way around.

The modular design of our Kit Cabin Set allows Aero Mock-Ups to create different aircraft interiors using the same production-friendly system.

Narrow Body Airplane Cabin

Create the familiar look of a single-aisle commercial aircraft.

The Narrow Body configuration can accommodate 2-2 First or Business Class seating or 3-3 Coach / Economy seating, with the option of additional aisle width when requested.

Ideal for scenes calling for the look of a typical domestic commercial airliner.

Wide Body Airplane Cabin

Need something larger?

Our two-aisle Wide Body configuration can accommodate 2-1-2 First Class, 2-2-2 Business Class or 2-3-2 Coach / Economy seating.

This configuration gives productions the visual scale of a larger commercial aircraft while maintaining the camera access of a modular set.

Extra Wide Body Airplane Cabin

For international flights and larger aircraft scenes, the Extra Wide Body configuration can accommodate 2-2-2 First Class, 2-3-2 Business Class, or 2-4-2 and 3-3-3 Coach / Economy seating.

The result is the look and scale of a large twin-aisle airliner without having to film aboard an actual aircraft.

Build the Length Your Scene Requires

You don't need to rent more airplane than you'll actually see on camera.

The Aero Mock-Ups Kit system is modular, with the cabin built in 7-foot sections.

That means your production can select a cabin length based on the number of passengers, rows of seats and amount of aircraft interior required for the scene.

A 7-foot cabin section can accommodate approximately two rows of Coach / Economy seating, while longer configurations can be created by combining additional sections.

For larger sequences, multiple Kit units can be combined to create significantly longer aircraft interiors.

Whether your scene needs two rows or twenty, we can help determine the configuration that makes sense for your production.

Designed for Cameras, Not Passengers

Real airplanes weren't designed around your camera department.

The Aero Mock-Ups Kit Cabin Set was.

Individual wall panels, overhead bins and ceiling sections can be removed with minimal preparation, giving your production access to camera positions that would be difficult or impossible inside an actual aircraft.

That flexibility can give your director and cinematographer more freedom for:

  • Side angles through the aircraft wall
  • Wider shots inside the cabin
  • Dolly and camera movement
  • Lighting access
  • Coverage from multiple positions
  • Passenger dialogue scenes
  • Longer aisle shots

And once the shot is finished, the cabin can be restored to its complete aircraft configuration.

A Fully Practical Airline Interior

The New York Kit Cabin isn't simply a row of seats surrounded by airplane walls.

It's designed to function on camera.

Depending on your configuration, practical cabin features can include passenger-operated overhead bins, window shades, reading lights, flight attendant call buttons, illuminated Fasten Seat Belt and No Smoking signs, controlled oxygen-mask drops and dimmable cabin lighting.

The result gives actors practical elements to interact with and gives the camera the illuminated details audiences expect to see inside a commercial aircraft.

Add the Parts of the Airplane Your Scene Needs

Need more than passenger seating?

Aero Mock-Ups can help create a more complete aircraft interior with additional aviation equipment and service areas.

Depending on your production and configuration, options can include:

  • Practical aircraft doors
  • Galley units
  • Flight attendant jump seats
  • Closets
  • Lavatory cubicles
  • Passenger seats
  • Bulkhead walls
  • Curtain doorways
  • Aviation set dressing

Service areas can be incorporated at the front, middle or rear of the cabin depending on the requirements of the scene.

Coach, Business or First Class

The same aircraft can tell a very different story depending on what's inside it.

Configure the cabin with Coach / Economy, Business Class, First Class or other appropriate passenger seating to create the look your production needs.

Then complete the environment with aviation-specific set dressing.

From passenger comfort items and service pieces to crew wardrobe and cabin equipment, Aero Mock-Ups can help transform the cabin into the aircraft described in your script.

An Airplane Set for New York Productions

Finding an airplane interior for a New York production shouldn't require sending your entire company across the country.

Our New York Kit Cabin Set gives East Coast productions access to Aero Mock-Ups' specialized airline interior equipment while retaining the modular flexibility that makes the Kit system ideal for production.

The set is particularly well suited for productions that need a customizable aircraft interior installed at their shooting location or soundstage.

Aero Mock-Ups can work with your production to determine the appropriate cabin width, length, seating configuration, service areas and aviation equipment for the scene.

Technical Support Included

Aero Mock-Ups' Kit Cabin Sets are supervised sets.

An Aero Mock-Ups Technical Supervisor accompanies the set to help oversee the specialized installation, configuration and operation of the aircraft equipment.

That means your production isn't simply receiving a truck full of airplane pieces.

You're getting support from people who know the set, understand how it works and can help your crew get the aircraft environment ready for camera.

Not Sure Which Airplane Configuration You Need?

You don't need to know whether the script requires a Narrow Body, Wide Body or Extra Wide Body aircraft before calling us.

Tell us what happens in the scene.

It helps to know:

  • How many passengers appear on camera
  • Approximately how many rows you expect to see
  • Coach, Business or First Class
  • One aisle or two
  • Whether you need a galley, lavatory or aircraft door
  • Whether the cockpit appears in the scene
  • Your shooting location
  • Your production dates
  • Any unusual camera moves or special effects

Our team can help translate what's on the page into the airplane set your production actually needs.
